Gender: Boy
General Appearance: Wears whatever standardized clothes the imperial ascari are issued. Not very expressive, rarely smiles.
Ascarya: Temperature manipulation. He can use this in a wide range, raising or lowering the temperature within a ~3 meter radius of himself, or he can do it with precision, burning or freezing a specific object or living thing.
Family: His mother is Sanna, an imperial ascari who deserted the army and joined a settlement of free people. He only knows that she was wild caught and traitorous, and he believes she is dead. His father is Coen, a rebel leader. He knows nothing about his identity.
Located: Egress, at a base for ascari soldiers.

Personality: He was raised to obey orders, so that's what he does. His true thoughts and feelings have been repressed for so long not even he knows what they are anymore, though he does have a vague, general sense of sadness about his lot in life. He accepts it though.
Motivations: For now, his upbringing and the desire to show he is loyal despite his undesirable lineage.
Fear(s): Displeasing the Egressian lords and nobles.
History: When Rhys was born, he was given the name Reynard by his parents. His mother Sanna was a wild-caught ascari soldier who deserted the army and began a new life in a free settlement. His father Coen was a noble-born ascari soldier who also deserted the army and became a rebel leader. The first few years of his life were happy.

When he was about two or three, a spy in their midst alerted Egress to their whereabouts. The settlement was attacked by soldiers, Sanna was grievously wounded, Coen was separated from them, and little Reynard was taken captive.

As wild ascari are not permitted to keep their names, he was given the new name "Rhys" and raised as a slave-soldier of the Empire. Skilled and obedient, he became an ideal imperial ascari, aside from his parentage. He was trained in combat and ascarya-ing by his mentor/battle commander Thoth.
